学术报告|预告:Recent Progress and Developments in Differential Variational Inequalities

报告简介:In this talk, we discuss the evolution of differential variational inequalities (DVIs), a family of complex dynamical systems combining differential equations and variational inequalities. We first review the origins and current research status of finite-dimensional DVIs, followed by their extensions to infinite-dimensional Banach spaces. In this framework, evolutionary partial differential equations are coupled with abstract variational inequalities, forming PDE-constrained control systems that can also be regarded as feedback control problems. We further elaborate on the research motivations and practical applications of DVIs. Based on modern PDE theory, nonsmooth analysis, nonlinear analysis and set-valued fixed point theory, we summarize the latest theoretical achievements and applied progress in this field. Lastly, we propose several promising research directions for future exploration.
